I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Totton SO40 and in Freemantle, Shirley, Southampton SO15, serving the city, the New Forest and the surrounding area
Welcome to my webpage.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Pam Tibbles, my aim as a counsellor and therapist is to help you to feel happier and settled in your life and relationships.
I naturally listen with empathy and compassion. I will support and respect your values and views, listening intently to really hear how it is for you, in a professional, safe, non judgemental and confidential environment.
I am an experienced BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist. I have a well established private practice in central Totton SO40, on the edge of the New Forest, and in Freemantle, Shirley, Southampton SO15, where I have been offering therapy and counselling for over ten years to individuals.
I understand that when we are feeling anger, grief, depression, confusion or anxiety it can be hard to turn to our family and friends. Coming for therapy and being able to talk honestly to someone outside of our lives can be very helpful and gives you the opportunity to release these feelings and express your thoughts. To go to counselling and seek therapy is not a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength.
I have had the privilege to witness how therapy has changed lives, and highlight that therapy and counselling research shows that the most important factor in gaining results is in the relationship between therapist and client. Therapy works due to the confidence and trust generated in the counselling relationship.
I currently offer a free 30 minute initial consultation to discuss what’s troubling you with no obligation to commit to further counselling sessions.
Call me on 07590 496631.

What will you achieve from coming to counselling and receiving therapy?
Counselling is a talking therapy.
It will give you the opportunity to talk about life events past and present.
It will enable you to talk about your personal problems, dilemmas and feelings, in a safe, comfortable environment free from judgements and preconceptions.
Help you to increase your self awareness and develop a better understanding of yourself and of other peoples point of view.
Help you to come to understand and conquer your anxieties.
Help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing you to feel uncomfortable.
Help you to cope with a relationship breakdown such as marriage, friendships, family or with work colleagues.
Help you come to terms and cope with feelings of grief, loss, sadness, depression and scare.
We can look at issues that prevent you from achieving your dreams or ambitions or even come to a place of acceptance and understanding of your situation in life and what choices you do have.
Help you to identify your strengths and resources and gain a greater insight of yourself, your relationships and life.
Help you to see things from a different perspective, to feel empowered and be able to clarify things and make positive choices.
Help you to decide if you want to make changes in your life or not.
To do some self exploration and personal development and maybe to explore what is working or not for you in your life.
Please contact me to make an appointment if you have discovered this is what you are looking for.
